Swan Lake Ballet by Ravel Dance Company

The Ravel Dance Company will present the classical masterpiece Swan Lake.

This is a timeless love story that mixes magic, tragedy and romance. Brimming with intense sentiments and Pytor Ilyich Tchaikobsky’s thrilling music the ballet has remained one of the most popular and enduring.

Swan Lake features Prince Siegried and a lovely swan princess named Odette. Under the spell of a sorcerer, Rothbart, Odette spends her days as a swan and her nights in a human form. The spell can only be broken if the prince vows his unwavering love to Odette. All is not what it seems when the black swan Odile tricks the prince. In the

end the prince realizes his mistake but the curse, remains unbroken.

The ballet will feature 24 swan maidens and the iconic pas de quatre or dance of the little swans along with a large ensemble cast. With lavish costumes, sets and scenery this is sure to be a spellbinding treat for ballet enthusiasts and the whole family.
