The Kintz-Meija Academy of Ballet presents “The Nutcracker”
The Kintz-Meija Academy of Ballet presents “The Nutcracker,” adapted from E.T.A. Hoffman’s story, “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King,” featuring music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and original choreography by Mark Mejia. In this beloved and timeless story, a young girl Clara is presented with a Christmas gift, a Nutcracker doll. Clara falls to sleep that night and dreams that the Nutcracker has come alive. After battling with the evil Mouse King, the Nutcracker carries Clara away to a magical kingdom with filled with dolls and sweets. Come and enjoy this classic ballet for the holidays!
Performances are on Saturday, December 9 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, December 10 at 2:00 pm, at Meridian High School, 121 Mustang Alley, Falls Church, VA 22043.
