
Fairfax County firefighters received several calls when fire erupted in a single-family home in the 4700 block of Autumn Cove Court in Lincolnia around 1 a.m. Saturday morning (Jan. 29).
Arriving firefighters reported fire showing and immediately called for additional resources.
A male occupant in the home was reportedly refusing to leave, but eventually came out with firefighters. He was suffering from smoke inhalation and taken to a hospital.
The fire did extensive damage to the home. Despite the snow, firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in about 20 minutes.
