Annandale will get its first Chick-fil-A this year.

A company spokesperson tells FFXnow that the 4,400-square-foot fast food restaurant is expected to open at 7120 Little River Turnpike in the spring.

“We look forward to joining the community and to serving all of our guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality,” the company wrote in a statement.

The restaurant replaces what was once home to Antiques & Art Emporium. Once completed, the Chick-fil-A will include two drive-thru lanes and outdoor seating.

The county approved the project in January last year.

In late 2017, The Annandale Blog reported that the vendors of the emporium were forced out of the building after it was declared unsafe by the county.

Chick-fil-A has multiple locations throughout Northern Virginia, including about 14 in Fairfax County, and across the country.

The company is also planning a 5,200-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru at 5810 Kingstowne Center in Kingstowne. Despite delays, the restaurant is expected to open its doors in the spring, a company spokesperson told FFXnow.

Exact opening dates for the Annandale and Kingstowne locations are not available, according to the company.
