
(Updated at 11:10 a.m.) One person was injured and 15 people were displaced in a Reston apartment fire that happened last night (Sunday).
Crews responded to a fire that broke out in the 2200 block of Stone Wheel Drive, according to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
A second-alarm was requested due to the severity of the fire.
A dozen people were in the building at the time of the incident. One resident was found and evacuated from a back bedroom in the apartment building.
The fire was caused by an unattended candle on the third floor of a room that spread to nearby combustibles, according to the department. Roughly $125,000 in damages was reported.
