McLean’s Chesterbrook Shopping Center will officially welcome two new retail tenants this week, while preparing for another anticipated launch later in the summer.
The openings will kick off today (Tuesday) with SkinSpirit, a skin care and medical spa that describes itself as a “leading provider of Botox and filler.” Located at 6224 Old Dominion Drive, Suite D, this is the clinic’s first location in Virginia and its third in the D.C. area.
SkinSpirit will be joined on Thursday (June 20) by Bluemercury, a beauty shop that sells makeup, skin care, cosmetics, perfume, hair, and bath and body products. The company, which can also be found at the Mosaic District in Merrifield and in Fairfax Corner, will open a 2,236-square-foot store at 6230 Old Dominion Drive.
“Bluemercury remains dedicated to elevating the beauty retail landscape, and the opening of Chesterbrook is a testament to our commitment to delivering excellence in beauty,” Bluemercury Head of Stores Jenna Goldberg said in a press release. “We invite the community to join us in celebrating this exciting expansion and look forward to becoming an integral part of the McLean community.”
After introducing a “Lil Deli” truck in spring 2023, Call Your Mother is on track to open a permanent, brick-and-mortar spot next to Bluemercury in July, according to Federal Realty Investment Trust, the owner of Chesterbrook Shopping Center.
The popular D.C. bagel shop’s Georgetown location is currently the subject of a fierce zoning battle, as some residents have complained about it drawing pests and customers leaving trash outside and taking up parking spaces.
But none of Call Your Mother’s other locations appear to have attracted similar levels of controversy. The Lil Deli truck will stay in operation until the permanent McLean shop opens, and a Vienna location is in the works.
Later this year, Chesterbrook expects to add Sorn Thai, a southern Thai restaurant that will be adjacent to SkinSpirit. The pet primary and urgent care clinic Small Door Veterinary will follow suit in spring 2025.
“Chesterbrook is solidifying its transformation in this top-tier market for McLean’s residents and visitors,” Federal Realty Senior Vice President of Asset Management Deirdre Johnson said. “…These new additions will provide unparalleled convenience, quality, and choice, further elevating Chesterbrook as a preferred destination.”
