A very tall, champagne-scented candle is going to light up Tysons Corner Center this weekend.

The 6.5-foot-tall wax column will be stationed on the mall’s first floor near Bath & Body Works from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 3-4), kicking off a tour of shopping centers and festivals in multiple cities across the U.S.

Bath & Body Works created the pop-up candle to celebrate the start of the back-to-school shopping season, according to a media advisory.

Starting today through Sunday, Virginia is waiving its sales tax on school supplies, clothes and select other products for its annual sales tax holiday, which got bumped to October last year after the General Assembly forgot to extend it in the state budget.

“With back-to-school season upon us, it’s the perfect way for shoppers to stop and smell the bubbly, come back to their senses and immerse themselves in this fun fragrance experience,” Bath & Body Works said in the advisory.

The retailer is inviting shoppers to take photos with the candle, which is infused with its champagne toast fragrance. With notes of champagne, berries and tangerine, the scent can also be found in the form of hand soaps, body wash, lip gloss and other products.

The pop-up will come with giveaways of free champagne toast-scented hand sanitizers while supplies last and other in-store promotions, such as a $10 discount on three-wick candles, according to Bath & Body Works.

Bath & Body Works is located on Tysons Corner Center’s first floor near Macy’s.
