The indoor trampoline park chain Sky Zone has targeted Chantilly for its next location in Northern Virginia.
While the exact address is still being determined, the general area will be home to one of eight new parks announced by the company last Thursday (Aug. 22).
“There isn’t a specific location yet, but they [the franchisees] are looking at real estate,” a spokesperson told FFXnow.
The self-proclaimed “originators of wall-to-wall aerial action,” Sky Zone launched in 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where founder Rick Platt initially attempted to start a trampoline-based competitive sport with a 2003 exhibition game at Orleans Arena, according to a 2021 Los Angeles Times report.
Now headquartered in Provo, Utah, the chain has since grown to more than 300 locations worldwide, including local parks in Springfield, Sterling and Woodbridge.
Sky Zone boasts more than 60 attractions at its locations, mostly centered around its trampolines. There’s a “SkySlam,” where customers can freestyle bounce or dunk basketballs, as well as foam pits, slides, zip lines and other equipment, allowing for a greater variety of activities.
“The attractions at the park will be determined by the location,” the spokesperson said, “but we can guarantee that it will offer all the fun, excitement, and endless ways to play that all Sky Zone locations offer.”
Sky Zone’s forthcoming Chantilly location is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, the chain said.
