Fairfax County’s first location of a popular chicken tender chain is set to open its doors later this week.

Raising Cane’s will hold its grand opening at 6363 Seven Corners Center on Thursday (Oct. 3), replacing the former Dogfish Head Alehouse that closed two years ago in the neighborhood’s eponymous shopping center.

It will be Cane’s first jaunt into Fairfax County, where the new location will nestle between restaurants in neighboring Loudoun and Prince William counties.

“The Virginia and D.C. market is one that we’ve grown exponentially in pretty quickly,” regional vice president Warren Sewell told FFXnow. “…We saw a great community and market for us to join in.”

The restaurant will not feature a drive-thru like most Raising Cane’s locations, although it will have a larger-than-usual dining room due to the space’s history as a dine-in eatery.

As a company-owned location, not a franchise, the Seven Corners restaurant will offer an experience on par with other Cane’s locations, Sewell says.

“It gives us a really great advantage to keep our eyes on the quality of our chicken finger meals, our customer service, and the atmosphere and the experience overall,” he said.

Customers will be able to submit entries in the store’s “Lucky 20” contest between 7 – 8 a.m., which will award 20 customers free food from the restaurant for a year.

The first 100 dine-in customers who purchase a combo will receive a commemorative beanie, as well as a card for a free box combo on a return visit.

After opening, the restaurant will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. It will close one hour later on Friday and Saturday nights.
