Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is officially coming to Kingstowne Towne Center.
After Romano’s Macaroni Grill closed its doors in January, the space at 5925 Kingstowne Towne Center will soon reopen as a Lazy Dog. While an official opening date hasn’t been set, a spokesperson for the restaurant confirmed the lease has been signed.
“We’re collaborating with the city and are confident that with their support, we’ll finalize the remaining steps and share an official opening date soon,” Steve Price, chief development officer for Lazy Dog, said. “Our goal is to join this great community as soon as possible, and we can’t wait to meet our new neighbors.”
Known for its American-style cuisine and casual draft-house atmosphere, the Rocky Mountains-inspired restaurant, originally called Lazy Dog Cafe, opened its first location in Huntington Beach, California, in 2003. Lazy Dog now operates nearly 50 locations nationwide, including Fair Oaks Mall and Chantilly.
According to county records, the new Kingstowne location will span 10,596 square feet, with a 1,379-square-foot patio seating 62 guests. The interior will accommodate 186 diners.
Lazy Dog features handcrafted in-house TV dinners and a quarterly Beer Club, offering access to small-batch craft beers, merchandise, and in-restaurant perks. The Campfire Club loyalty program provides monthly rewards. The restaurant serves lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, with a bar offering craft beers and specialty cocktails.
