McLean’s Holiday Homes Tour is coming back.

The previously annual fundraiser organzied by the Women’s Club of McLean will return on Dec. 5, inviting community members to visit local houses decked out for the winter holidays for the first time since 2019.

“The tour offers a delightful day of holiday cheer, as the Club welcomes our diverse McLean community to experience the celebration and customs represented in our four beautifully decorated homes,” the nonprofit said in a brief press release.

Founded in 1958 to support volunteering and charitable causes, the Women’s Club of McLean called off what had been its biggest fundraiser in 2020 due to health concerns from COVID-19. It was the first time the Holiday Homes Tour had been canceled in its 53-year history.

The nonprofit took a step toward reviving the tradition with a Kitchen and Garden Tour in spring 2023 that helped fund a new ambulance for the McLean Volunteer Fire Department, but this year will mark the holiday tour’s comeback.

Tickets for the 54th Annual Holiday Homes Tour are now available online for $45 or in-person for $40 at select local businesses:

  • Mesmeralda’s (1339 Chain Bridge Road)
  • Karin’s Florist (527 Maple Avenue East)
  • Great Dogs of Great Falls (9859 Old Georgetown Pike)
  • McLean Hardware (1445 Chain Bridge Road)

Proceeds from the tours will go to various community organizations supported by the Women’s Club of McLean.

While the list of recipients for this year’s tour hasn’t been finalized yet, the club regularly contributes to the volunteer fire department, Share Inc., Second Story, Wolftrap Animal Rescue, McLean and Langley high school students, and more.
