Amazon Fresh is coming to Bailey’s Crossroads.

The e-commerce giant announced today that the newest location of its grocery store chain will open in the Crossroads Center shopping center next Thursday, Dec. 12.

Located at 5811 Crossroads Center Way, the 40,000-square-foot store will feature Amazon’s “Just Walk Out” shopping, which uses cameras to monitor shoppers as they fill their carts, allowing them to be automatically billed via their Amazon account instead of having to stop at a checkout line.

Along with traditional grocery store fare, the store will offer a variety of grab-and-go options, including sandwiches, salads, take-and-bake pizzas and more.

Shoppers will be able to find more than 35 regional brands at the store, including the Virginia-based Smithfield Foods and True Made Foods, a spokesperson said.

“Amazon already has a large online grocery business and millions of products available for fast delivery, but if you want to serve as many grocery needs as we do, you have to offer customers great selection, value, and convenience — not just online, but in physical stores too,” the company said in a statement.

Surplus food from the store will be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank, according to a press release.

The Bailey’s Crossroads store will be Amazon Fresh’s fourth in the Fairfax County area, following stores in Franconia, Lorton and Fairfax City. It will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Another store was reportedly planned at Fair Lakes Shopping Center back in 2022, but it’s unclear whether that’s moving forward. A 41,510-square-foot space leased to an unidentified tenant that the Washington Business Journal reported will be Amazon Fresh is listed as opening in spring 2025 on the property’s site plan.

Employees are currently being hired for the Bailey’s Crossroads store, based on a job listing available on Amazon’s website.
