A sandwich and wings chain is ready to open the doors to its new location in Bailey’s Crossroads.
Charleys Cheesesteaks could open its new franchise at 3556 South Jefferson Street, Unit E, in the Crossroads Place Shopping Center this weekend. Pallets of cardboard boxes, each adorned with the company’s logo, could be seen being taken into the storefront Wednesday (Dec. 18) afternoon.
The eatery is “shooting for” an opening this Saturday, Dec. 21, a spokesperson for Levin Management, which oversees tenant leasing at the shopping center, told FFXnow.
A lease for the eatery was signed about a year ago, with Charleys taking over a 2,100-square-foot space on the southern side of the shopping center.
Launched in the 1980s, Charleys Cheesesteaks built a menu centered around cheesesteaks, french fries and lemonade. Today, that menu offers more than a dozen different sandwich options, plus chicken wings, milkshakes and much more.
The business has multiple locations in southeastern Fairfax County, including at Springfield and Kingstowne town centers, but the Bailey’s Crossroads one will only be the county’s second north of the Capital Beltway, joining an outlet in Tysons Corner Center.
When it opens in Bailey’s Crossroads, Charleys Cheesesteaks will operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day except for Wednesdays, when it will be closed, according to the location’s website.
Existing fast-casual dining options at Crossroads Place include the likes of Chipotle and Quickway Japanese Hibachi. The shopping center announced this spring that it will be adding Dave’s Hot Chicken, which is on track to open by the end of January 2025, according to the shopping center’s retail broker.
Dave’s Hot Chicken will be located in a 2,337-square-foot space adjacent to Charleys Cheesesteaks. The two suites were created through a split-up of a larger space previously occupied by a Virginia ABC store.
