With a dozen wrestlers finishing among the top four in their weight classes, including three champions, the Justice Wolves won the recent eight-team Saxon Invitational high-school match.
Justice finished with 160.5 points, with the Herndon Hornets second with 131 at Langley High School.
Finishing first for Justice were Abdullah Sufyan at 120 pounds, Mustafa Abdali at 138 and Lucas Ianotti at 165. All three had 3-0 records, each with two pins. Sufyan and Abdali had technical falls in their championship matches.
Second for Justice were Allen Tanat (113), Yousef Abdali (132) and Jack Martinez (175). Third were Ahmad Nazari (113), Julio Fuerte (126) and Mohammad Niazi (175). Fourth were Israrrullah Amarkhil (150), Michael Cortez (190) and Samuel Coimbra Takana (285).
Herndon had four winners in Anderson Herrera (144), Oliver Franco (150), Matthew Pippin (190) and Chris Mejia Chavez (285). Herrera was 4-0 with two pins and two technical falls and Pippin and Mejia Chavez were each 3-0 with three pins.
Mason Roane (150) was second for Herndon, Kevin Chavez-Urbina (157) was third, and fourth were Bridger Poulton (106) and Franklin Aguirrez Escobar (215).
The South County Stallions placed fourth with 116 points, led by winners Ali Fayed (175) and Aidan Payne (106). Each was 3-0 with three pins.
The fifth-place Langley Saxons had winner Ianna Baik at 157 with a 4-0 record — three pins and a technical fall.
The sixth-place McLean Highlanders had winners Jack Fang (126) and Michael Souza (132). Souza was 3-0 with three first-period pins. Fang had two pins.
Nathaniel James (215) won for eighth-place Oakton with a 3-0 mark.
