J. Crew Factory store opening soon in Fair City Mall

The mystery tenant that began construction at Fair City Mall late last year has been unveiled.

Signage for J.Crew Factory has appeared on one storefront in the Fairfax City shopping center, located next to YamaChen’s Sushi House. The space was last occupied in 2018 by HobbyWorks.

The store, located at 9650-42 Main Street, is targeting an “early 2025” opening, according to the signage. When reached for comment, however, a representative of landlord KLNB said no specific date has been determined yet.

Shoppers will be able to find a variety of apparel and accessories for men, women and children at the store, which will fill a 5,240-square-foot storefront. J.Crew will join fellow clothiers Marshalls, Burlington, Designer Shoe Warehouse and more inside the shopping center.

The forthcoming store is the latest installment in a rapid expansion across Fairfax County, making it the third store to open in the county since last summer. Fairfax County’s first J.Crew Factory store opened July 18 in Fair Lakes Shopping Center, followed by the launch of a Tysons store last month.

J.Crew — the factory store’s higher-end counterpart — has nearby locations in Tysons Galleria and Reston Town Center.

Also coming soon to Fair City Mall are smoothie and juice shop South Block and honeygrow, a restaurant chain specializing in salads and stir-frys.

“We are so excited for these concepts to debut at Fair City Mall,” the KLNB representative told FFXnow.
