A barbershop steps from the Dunn Loring Metro station is closing its doors next week.
Roosters Men’s Grooming Center, located at 2672H Avenir Place, will be permanently closed starting next Monday, May 12.
One barber recently texted the news to clients, thanking them for their support, according to a message shared with FFXnow. Potential customers are unable to book appointments online for dates after Monday at the Dunn Loring location.
An employee confirmed that the lease is ending but didn’t have any further details on the owner’s decision to close. All of the barbers are now on the lookout for other potential locations to set up shop.
Operating hours for the final weekend of business are:
- Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Roosters, which offers locations across 24 states, opened its doors in The Shops at Avenir Place back in 2015. It aims to provide “the comforts of an old-school barbershop with a modern twist,” according to its website.
The business can also be found in Pentagon City, Reston Town Center, The Boro in Tysons and Franklin Farm Village Center in the Herndon area.
The Shops at Avenir Place has undergone numerous changes to its tenant roster in the past couple of years, welcoming eateries like Japomen, Rice Culture and the Casual Pint. Most recently, Viet Corner, a restaurant offering pho, banh mi and other Vietnamese dishes, began serving customers in April.
Recent closures have included the short-lived Myron Mixon Pitmaster BBQ and the fast-casual restaurants Burger7 and Spice 6.
