Belle Haven residents soon won’t have to travel far for a bowl of ramen.
Yido Ramen and Sushi expects to open its doors in the Belle View Shopping Center later this month, according to its Instagram account. The restaurant announced in late May that it’s looking to hire servers, dishwashers, a kitchen chef and other workers.
“[We’re opening] in a couple weeks maybe,” an employee at Yido in Tysons said when FFXnow called this morning (Wednesday).
The Belle Haven restaurant, located at 1612-B Belle View Blvd, is the first expansion effort for Yido since it launched in Tysons at 8500 Leesburg Pike, Suite 100, five years ago.
Founded in 2021, Yido is focused on “serving healthy, delicious, nutritional food and striving to create a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience for our customers,” according to its website.
The restaurant’s menu features 16 different ramen dishes utilizing tonkotsu (pork-based), miso (soy bean-based) and shoyu (soy sauce-based) broths. Diners can also add extra toppings, including char-su pork, shrimp tempura, tofu and more.
Other offerings include Chinese-style noodle soup and 16 different yaki noodle dishes — and that’s before getting to the restaurant’s extensive sushi menu.
Yido boasts dozens of different sushi offerings, starting with 26 roll options. There’s also eight different sushi appetizer options, such as pepper tuna tataki and salmon pizza, plus 19 sushi and sashimi a la carte options.
For more sizable groups, Yido offers three different “love boat” dishes that include a large combo of sushi and sashimi.
“All of our dishes are made with only the freshest of ingredients of the highest quality to achieve the best flavors and presentation,” Yido’s website says.
Once its doors open in Belle Haven, Yido will operate daily from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., according to a Fairfax County permit for the business. It will also open slightly later on Sundays, operating from noon until 10 p.m.
Anchored by Safeway and CVS, Belle View Shopping Center’s existing dining options include Primo Family Restaurant, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Bun Papa, Dishes of India and one of only two remaining Roy Rogers in Fairfax County.
