Buffalo Wild Wings is giving away more than 31,000 wings to celebrate the grand opening of its new location in Herndon later this week.
On Thursday (June 19), the first 100 customers in line at the sports bar chain’s newest restaurant at 304 Elden Street will receive six free wings a week for a full year — totaling 312 wings per person over the next 52 weeks.
Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting and celebratory “wing toss” before the eatery officially opens its doors at 11 a.m.
“The First Wing Toss is a fun way to celebrate the Grand Opening where two community members get to shake up the first batch of wings,” the company said in a press release.
This will be the brand’s fourth restaurant in Fairfax County overall, but it’s the first Buffalo Wild Wings GO location, which places a greater emphasis on take-out and delivery orders than traditional BWW restaurants.
The 1,840 square-foot Herndon location will also offer dine-in seating, though, as well as the brand’s full slate of 26 signature sauces and dry rubs.
Also offered on the restaurant’s menu is a variety of traditional pub foods, including fried appetizers, grilled burgers and a dozen different sandwiches.
Located in Herndon’s former Loyal Companion pet store, Buffalo Wild Wings Go will open daily at 11 a.m. It will close at 11 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, with hours extending until midnight on weekends.
Traditional Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants can be found in Fairfax City, near the Skyline Towers Apartments in Bailey’s Crossroads and at the Mount Vernon Plaza shopping center in Hybla Valley.
