Gourmet toast cafe chain is expanding to Great Falls

A cafe that takes a unique approach to a popular breakfast offering is targeting Great Falls for a new storefront.

Gourmet toast cafe chain Toastique is aiming to officially open in Great Falls this fall, though it’s still in the early stages of setting up the restaurant, marketing manager Jolie Richards told FFXnow.

Located at 9891 Georgetown Pike, the forthcoming Toastique will fill a storefront left vacant by the closure of Classic Wines of Great Falls last summer.

“Toastique is always looking to bring our fresh, health-forward concept to vibrant communities that align with our brand, and Great Falls certainly fits that profile,” Richards said.

The chain’s menu includes eight different gourmet toast dishes — a collection of primarily savory options with toppings like smoked salmon, spicy crab and more.

Toastique also offers smoothies and smoothie bowls, as well as “hand-crafted” coffee, cold-pressed juices and much more.

When it opens, the Great Falls location will join one planned at Reston Town Center as the brand’s first storefronts in Fairfax County.

“Each Toastique location is designed to reflect the unique character of its neighborhood, while maintaining the elevated and premium product offerings our guests know and love,” Richards said. “The Great Falls store would be no different — blending our signature look with a layout and our signature menu.”

According to its website, Toastique was founded in 2018 by Brianna Keefe, a college athlete who became interested in opening a wellness cafe with smoothies, juices and gourmet toast. After opening its first location at the Wharf in D.C., the company quickly expanded to Alexandria and then began franchising in 2020.

It now has more than 150 locations across 13 states.
