Last month, Inova officially opened a new care center in Herndon, bringing together its family, women, and children-specialized clinics under one roof.
The new facility is located at 365 Herndon Parkway, Suite 105, just across Fairfax County Parkway from Reston Hospital.
According to the release, the new facility houses Inova Cares for Families (ICF), Inova Cares for Women (ICW), Inova Cares for Children (ICC) and Inova Juniper (IJ) clinics, which offer HIV/AIDS care, among other services.
Inova’s goal with the new, consolidated facility was to make it easier for uninsured patients, or those who qualify for assistance programs like Medicaid, to get all the medical care needed at one central location, the release says.
“The residents of Herndon literally have one-stop healthcare access,” Inova Senior Vice President and Chief of Community Health Karen Berube said in the release. “Consolidating these vital healthcare services ensures that every member of the family has access to high-quality medical care and support at every age and stage throughout their lifespan, cultivating long-term wellbeing, regardless of their ability to pay.”
The facility’s grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 13. Dranesville District Supervisor Jimmy Bierman, Herndon Mayor Keven LeBlanc, Del. Irene Shin and other local elected officials were in attendance.
Inova’s other facilities in Reston include a standalone emergency room in Reston Town Center North. The nonprofit health care provider has been working with Fairfax County for a decade now on plans to redevelop the area with housing, a new library and homeless shelter, an athletic field, and more.
Outside of Reston, Inova is continuing construction on a new Franconia-Springfield hospital that’s expected to open by 2028.
