The Fairfax County Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a man accused of exposing himself at a store in Groveton last month.
The man allegedly exposed himself to a 9-year-old girl who was with her mother inside the Target store at 6600 Richmond Highway, according to scanner traffic.
Officers responded to the incident at 10:13 p.m. on June 30, police said today (Wednesday) in a press release.
“Two victims reported that a man approached them while shopping and exposed himself,” the FCPD said, confirming that both victims were juveniles.
A sweep of the store by police officers did not locate the suspect, who fled before they arrived, the FCPD says. It is unclear which direction he fled after leaving the store.
Anybody who had information regarding the suspect is encouraged to contact FCPD’s Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 3. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Solvers.
