A 25-year-old man has been arrested after police allege that he forced his way into two Fairfax County hotel rooms earlier this week.
Arlington resident Eric Isler was taken into custody yesterday (Tuesday), hours after the second of two incidents, the Fairfax County Police Department says.
The FCPD alleges that Isler first forced his way into a hotel room at the Clarion Inn (6633 Arlington Blvd) in West Falls Church around 4 a.m. on Monday (July 21).
The hotel room’s occupant awoke to a man exposing himself, police said, prompting her to scream. The man fled the scene before police arrived.
The following day, FCPD officers responded to the Comfort Inn (6560 Loisdale Court) in Springfield shortly after midnight in response to a reported assault.
“The victim reported that an unknown man forced his way into his hotel room, assaulted him, and stole items,” the FCPD said.
Police located Isler, who was unknown to both victims, shortly after the second incident based on a description for the suspect and took him into custody.
In all, Isler has been charged with one count each of robbery, aggravated sexual battery and entering with the intent to commit assault and battery. He faces decades in prison if convicted.
After an arraignment yesterday, Isler remains in custody without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He’s scheduled to appear in Fairfax County General District Court next for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 20.
