FCPD: Woman sexually assaulted at Centreville grocery store

A woman was sexually assaulted this past weekend at a Giant Food in Centreville, Fairfax County police say.

Officers responded to the grocery store (14125 St Germain Drive) in Centrewood Plaza around 6:10 p.m. on Sunday (July 20) for a “sex offense case,” according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

“The victim reported that while inside the store, a male suspect touched her inappropriately,” the FCPD said in a news release today (Wednesday).

The man left the scene before police arrived.

The department says detectives are now seeking the public’s help with identifying and locating the alleged suspect, who was spotted on security cameras entering and exiting the store. Still images shared by the FCPD show a man wearing a red, short-sleeved shirt and a plain black baseball cap.
