Woof Gang pet store to bound into Pimmit Hills shopping center

Falls Church-area residents will soon have a new place to pamper their pets with both sweet treats and spa-like treatments.

The Miami-based chain Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming is working on a new location at the Tysons Station shopping center in Pimmit Hills, filling a 1,518-square-floor space at 7504 Leesburg Pike.

Adjacent to the juice bar Juice Time and Papa Kanafa, the suite was previously part of a larger storefront belonging to Pet Supplies Plus, which permanently closed in 2022.

“We can’t wait to become part of the community,” Woof Gang Chief Marketing Officer Diego Suarez said by email. “Falls Church is such a vibrant, pet-loving area, and we knew it would be a great fit for our brand, a neighborhood pet store that offers personalized grooming, a boutique shopping experience, and all-natural treats that pets and their parents love.”

Currently expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, which would be sometime in October through December, Woof Gang’s Pimmit Hills location will offer professional grooming services and a variety of retail pet products, including pet food, treats, toys and health and wellness items.

Some stores feature a full gourmet bakery that makes cookies, cakes, donuts and other oven-baked sweets for pets, but for Pimmit Hills, store owner Felipe Freire says they decided to focus on the services they believe “the community needs most” — specifically, grooming, pre-made snacks and wellness products, such as grooming tools, dental chews and hygiene wipes.

The snacks will include some of Woof Gang’s signature all-natural treats, like crispy chicken breast chips, which Freire says “are a huge hit with both pups and their parents.”

“The product assortment may evolve over time, but the heart of the store will always be the personalized, loving care we give each pet who walks through the door,” he told FFXnow.

The Pimmit Hills store will be Freire’s second Woof Gang franchise, coming on the heels of an October 2024 opening for his location at the Belmont Chase shopping center in Ashburn.

Started by Paul and Cara Allen with a single pet store in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, in 2007, the company grew to 239 locations by the end of 2024 with plans to continue expanding across the U.S. and Canada. Tysons Station will be the fifth Woof Gang in Northern Virginia, joining two stores in Ashburn, one in Clifton and one in Arlington.

As someone who has “always loved animals,” Freire says he was drawn to Woof Gang for its personalized approach to grooming, emphasis on all-natural ingredients for its treats and a “real sense of community” that sets it apart from other pet businesses.

“What really sets us apart is the neighborhood feel,” Freire said. “Each Woof Gang store is locally owned, so we get to know our customers and their pets by name. It’s that personal connection and boutique-level care that makes the experience truly special.”

He describes the grooming experience as low stress and tailored to each pet, noting that dogs stay with the same groomer throughout their appointments to help “build trust and consistency.”

When looking at additional locations, Woof Gang identified Pimmit Hills and Tysons Station in particular as a “natural fit” based on its convenient location on Route 7 near the Capital Beltway and I-66, along with its proximity to well-established residential neighborhoods.

“It’s a vibrant, pet-loving community with people who truly value high-quality care for their animals,” Freire said. “We saw a real opportunity to bring something special to the neighborhood — a pet grooming experience that’s warm, personal, and built on trust.”
