Restonians are once again expected to turn out by the thousands for a community-wide yard sale this weekend.
According to a release, Reston Association’s semi-annual Community Yard Sale is scheduled to come back “bigger than ever” on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at 12010 Sunrise Valley Drive, near the Reston Wegmans.
Organized by RA for three decades now, the sale is expected to bring together over 90 families and as many as 3,000 bargain shoppers, the event release said. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
“This popular gathering offers a unique opportunity to shop, socialize, and support sustainable living through reuse and resale,” the release said.
The Community Yard Sale includes a wide array of items, from furniture and home decor to clothing, toys and household goods.
“The Community Yard Sale is not only a great place to find bargains, but also it provides a wonderful sense of community,” RA Community Events Supervisor Ashleigh Soloff said. “Families look forward to this event all year, and neighbors come out to chat and browse the items for sale. It’s a wonderful way to meet neighbors, make new friends and pick up some great deals.”
