The end of September is within sight, which means Oktoberfest season will soon be in full swing.

One of the bigger festivals in the region is the Vienna Oktoberfest, which is organized by the Vienna Business Association and now celebrating its 16th year.

Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, Vienna’s Oktoberfest will be held this year from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Church Street and the Town Green. According to the event website, alcohol vendors for 2025 will include:

  • Caboose Brewing
  • Vienna Vintner
  • Norms Beer and Wine
  • Settle Down Easy

In addition to its two wine and beer gardens, the event will feature plenty of food vendors, an artisan market, and live entertainment on three different stages.

While downtown parking is limited, a free shuttle will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with stops at Ayr Hill and Dominion roads, James Madison High School and the Vienna Metro station’s north entrance. The free bicycle parking introduced last year will also return to the grassy area along the Washington & Old Dominion Trail at Church Street.

Outside of Vienna, Reston Town Center will host its inaugural Rocktoberfest on Oct. 11. With Smash Mouth headlining, the vibe will likely be more acid wash jeans than lederhosen, but attendees can still imbibe alcohol from restaurants participating in the event’s “Sip and Stroll.”

Other notable Oktoberfests in the region include:

  • Oktoberfest Celebration at Lake Anne Brew House (11401 North Shore Drive) in Reston, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m.
  • Oktoberfest at G34.3 Brewing Company (8532 Terminal Road) in Lorton, Sept. 27 at noon
  • Oktoberfest Celebration at Uno Pizzeria and Grill (5935 Kingstowne Center) in Kingstowne, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m
  • Oktoberfest at the Workhouse Arts Center (9518 Workhouse Way) in Lorton on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m.
