Springfield is now home to one of the largest car dealerships in the D.C. area.
Sheehy Subaru, which celebrated its grand opening on Sept. 18 at 7501 Loisdale Road, sits at nearly 51,000 square feet, making it the largest Subaru dealership in the region, according to a company spokesperson.
“This new facility reflects our unwavering commitment to the DMV community,” Vince Sheehy, president of Sheehy Auto Stores, said. “We designed it to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers while continuing to support the people, organizations, and causes that make this region so special.”
The facility contains more than 35 service bays, allowing technicians to service more than three dozen automobiles at one time.
Sheehy Subaru also features “multiple EV charging stations, a luxury customer lounge, a dog park, and a larger inventory selection,” according to a press release.
“These enhancements are designed to provide quicker service, greater convenience, and a more extensive range of vehicles for customers,” a spokesperson wrote.
The dealership is the newest from Sheehy Auto Stores, which owns and operates more than two dozen dealerships in the D.C. area alone.
The Subaru dealership, which is open most days from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., is Sheehy’s third in Springfield, joining a Ford sales location also on Loisdale Road and a Volkswagen dealership at 6601 Backlick Road.
