Officers responded to the 9700 block of Church Way around 10:15 p.m. after receiving a report of a man armed with a weapon — later identified as a chainsaw, according to scanner traffic.
According to dispatchers on the police scanner, the man’s parents had alerted law enforcement after he began cutting things inside the home with the chainsaw, causing them to lock him outside the residence.
