A teen was stabbed reportedly by multiple people at a residence in Herndon this afternoon (Friday).

Police officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Center Street around 3:32 p.m. after a woman reported that her 15-year-old son had been “stabbed in the chest” by three people, according to scanner traffic.

The boy was transported to Reston Hospital with injuries that were initially deemed life-threatening. His condition was upgraded to stable around 5:20 p.m., Herndon Police Department spokesperson Lisa Herndon says.

Herndon confirmed that police are actively looking for three suspects, but no details about their identities have been determined yet, including their relationship to the victim.

Herndon Police are advising community members to “avoid the area.”
