The newest storefront for a local chain of auto repair shops opens today (Monday) in Reston.
Craftsman Auto Care‘s newest location is at 11720 Sunset Hills Road, replacing the former National Tire & Battery that previously occupied the nearly 8,000-square-foot space.
“Reston is a great fit for us,” owner Matt Curry told FFXnow. “It’s busy, growing, and full of great people and businesses. We love being part of the community wherever we go, and there’s lots of opportunity here to build connections and really make an impact.”
The shop, which is the family-owned brand’s eighth in Northern Virginia, will offer a wide variety of services.
In addition to state inspections and oil changes, Craftsman offers services from minor vehicle maintenance and air-conditioning or heating fixes to brake repair, major engine work and more.
“Like all of our locations, [the Reston shop] will offer complete auto repair and maintenance for all makes and models including domestic, European, import, hybrid, and electric vehicles,” a spokesperson said.
At just under 8,000 square feet, the business anticipates being able to serve around 1,000 customers a month at full capacity, the spokesperson added.
Though Monday marks the official opening, a commemorative grand opening event is scheduled to be held later this month.
The grand opening on Nov. 21 will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon. Local residents can also currently enter a sweepstakes to win either a free set of Continental tires or one of the company’s 10 “Ultimate Oil Change Packages,” which include a synthetic oil change and two other treatments.
The headline and story have been corrected to clarify that Craftsman Auto Care is an auto repair shop, rather than an auto body shop.
