DEVELOPING: Three killed in single-vehicle crash in Reston

Three people were killed and two were hospitalized as a result of a single-vehicle crash near Crossfield Elementary School in Reston earlier this morning (Saturday).

As of 10:30 a.m., Fox Mill Road remains closed in both directions at Folkstone Drive, where the crash occurred, as detectives with the Fairfax County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit investigate.

“Three adults were pronounced deceased on scene. One adult passenger was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition,” the FCPD said on social media at 8:46 a.m.

Another adult passenger was taken to a hospital with injuries described by police as non-life-threatening.

“The intersection will be closed for the investigation,” the FCPD said. “Please use an alternate route.”
