Friday Night Live! is coming back to Herndon, capping off last week’s heat wave with the release of its upcoming schedule.

The popular summer concert series produced by the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce will return to the Town Green on May 22, kicking off with cover band Lost in Paris.

Friday Night Live’s 32nd season will culminate on Sept. 4 with rock band Shake the Room taking the stage for the 500th show programmed since the series launched in 1995. Organizers will mark the milestone with “some surprises,” the event page teases.

“We are excited to bring back many of your favorites along with a few new additions to this great lineup!” Friday Night Live said when announcing the schedule last Friday (April 17).

As implied by the series name, shows are on Fridays and typically last from 6:30 to 10 p.m., with concessions opening at 6 p.m. This year’s vendors haven’t been announced yet, but local restaurants like Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern and Toriz Tacos have participated in the past.

Last year, the series offered a non-alcoholic beer for the first time. Alcohol sales, including beer and wine, start at 6 p.m. like other concessions, but end right at 9:30 p.m.

Friday Night Live is still looking for volunteers ahead of a mandatory training on May 13.
