A man has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a crash on Ox Road (Route 123) near the Crosspointe Fire Station in Lorton.

Police officers and units with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department were dispatched to Ox Road at Hampton Station Court just after 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) for a single-vehicle crash.

“Driver’s still inside. Caller’s saying someone stopped and is giving a passenger CPR,” a dispatcher said at 4:01 p.m. on the emergency scanner.

An FCFRD responder corrected the location to northbound Ox Road prior to Hampton Road, reporting that there was a black SUV “in a ditch.”

A passenger in the vehicle, described as an adult man, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital in what the Fairfax County Police Department described as “life-threatening condition.”

The condition of the driver wasn’t confirmed, but scanner traffic suggests a second patient was transported by Prince William County responders.

As of press time, traffic on Ox Road has been reduced to one lane in each direction, as detectives with the FCPD’s Crash Reconstruction Unit investigate the crash.

“Please use an alternate route,” the FCPD said.
