Just in time for the hotter months, Burke residents have a new option for ice cream.
Moo Thru announced Monday (June 1) that it is now open at Burke Town Center (6025H Burke Centre Parkway). This is Moo Thru’s second Fairfax County location after a franchise opened in Herndon in 2024.
The team said long lines may be possible at times and asked for patience from customers.
“We have a great team of enthusiastic teens who are working hard to learn their roles here,” Moo Thru Burke shared on social media. “We appreciate your patience, kindness and understanding as they gain experience and provide you with the best service possible!”
Moo Thru, a franchise with seven Virginia locations, focuses on ice cream with ingredients sourced from dairy farmers. The menu includes hard and soft-serve ice cream flavors, plus shakes, malts, banana splits and sundaes.
Franchise owner Morgan Johnson previously told FFXnow that she and her husband came across Moo Thru when they were traveling around the regional chain’s original Remington location, and it became their favorite.
The family decided to open their own Moo Thru minutes from their house in Burke, where they have lived for more than 20 years.
“From the very beginning, we felt this area was special,” Johnson told FFXnow. “Burke has such a strong sense of community, and Moo Thru feels like a natural fit here, especially with our farmers’ market, walking trails, green spaces, and other well-loved family-owned businesses.”
Hours at the new Moo Thru ice cream shop are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
