
(updated at 5:20 p.m.) After initially being reported as a shooting, Fairfax County Police believe a man who was found with life-threatening injuries at a parking garage in Fairfax may have injured himself after jumping from the garage.
They said they don’t have reason to believe now that there was a shooting or criminal activity.
After being reported as a shooting, the man was taken to a nearby hospital. It is believed his injuries may have resulted from him jumping from the garage & NOT from a shooting. At this time, no evidence to indicate criminal activity.https://t.co/GpHtRmu998

Police had been searching for a suspect near Fairfax County judicial buildings in Fairfax, according to police scanner traffic, after the report came in for a shooting.
Emergency medical services were requested to the 10600 block of Page Avenue around 4 p.m. A helicopter was en route to help with the search.
