Event

Maps, Voter Rights and the MidTerms

Online event (see link)

This program is proposed as Part II of our chapter’s prior redistricting education webinar and is designed to address the post‑referendum landscape following Virginia’s redistricting vote.

The webinar will provide nonpartisan civic education to help community members better understand:

What does the redistricting vote mean, now that ballots have been cast?

How newly adopted or maintained district maps may influence upcoming midterm elections?

How can voters remain informed, engaged, and empowered beyond referendum day?

This program reflects Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated’s commitment to civic engagement, social justice, and informed advocacy, in direct alignment with our Social Action mission. Specifically, it supports:

Voter education and civic engagement

Protection of voting rights

Public understanding of democratic systems

Collaboration with trusted civic organizations

Please note that the webinar will be explicitly framed as educational, not political or advocacy‑based, and will not promote candidates, political parties, or ballot positions.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a non-partisan organization and does not endorse any candidate and does not endorse any particular position on political issues. The purpose of this forum is to educate our respective communities.
