The Alexandria Teen Science Café will host its final session of the school year

Alexandria Teen Science Café invites students in grades 8–12 to its final session of the school year on May 21 at Virginia Tech’s Washington‑Alexandria Architecture Center (WAAC) in Old Town.

Every building, bridge, and system in a city is shaped by people, architects, engineers, designers, and skilled trades professionals. At this month’s Café, students will meet some of the experts who do this work every day.

Representatives from the Architect of the Capitol, Virginia Tech’s WAAC, HRP Engineering, and Cornerstone Craftsman will give students an inside look at how cities function, how historic buildings are preserved, and how human‑centered design and smart infrastructure shape the built environment.
