Shotted to hold grand opening at first drive-thru location in West Falls Church

Saudi-style coffee shop Shotted is continuing its expansion across the D.C. area with the opening of its first drive-thru location in West Falls Church.

The coffee shop had a soft opening last week at the Shops at West Falls Church (7393 Route 29). It was formerly home to Compass Coffee, which closed the location after filing for bankruptcy in January.

Shotted will host a grand opening starting at 6 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 8). The first 100 guests will receive a free coffee or latte, and the shop will give away five $100 gift cards through a social media contest. There will also be free Saudi coffee and dates and music.

“We’re excited to welcome the community and celebrate this special milestone with you!” Shotted shared on social media.

Started as a pop-up at festivals and universities around the D.C. area in 2019, Shotted opened a kiosk at Tysons Corner Center in 2020. The business expanded in 2023 to Tysons Galleria and has since added locations at Dulles Town CenterGainesville and most recently, Annapolis Mall.

It also has plans to expand to Montgomery Mall in Bethesda and Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge, founder and CEO Bandar Alhenaki previously told FFXnow.

The menu at West Falls Church largely the same one that Shotted fans are familiar with, featuring a mix of coffees, teas, hot and iced lattes and refreshers. Pastries and desserts are also served, including soft-serve ice cream and cakes with flavors like pistachio, date and lotus.

Hours at the location are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 6 a.m. to midnight Friday to Sunday.
