Our first workshop, “Drawing the Portrait in Charcoal,” will take place on March 11 and 12. During the class, Teresa will guide students through her approach to drawing the human portrait in charcoal while helping them create their own charcoal portraits of models.

A small start up by a local Arlington resident just launched a free app called WhensIt that gives busy parents in two clicks the **Local School Calendars, SAT/ACT test deadlines, and College Application Deadlines** with rankings. The resident was frustrated from years of hunting on the internet too long and too often for what he thought should be a couple clicks away. The app also gives residents a listing of all the **concerts, sporting events, expos, conferences, and shows in one place. Local organizations can add to the event listing**. The app is catching the attention of regional news outlets.

Learn all aspects of garden center management through on-the-job training provided by assigned mentors at your local Meadows Farms Nursery and Garden Center. Skills taught will include: plant knowledge, inventory management and maintenance, managing a crew of employees, merchandising, operating equipment, customer relations, and more. Our training program runs from spring through August. Upon successful completion, trainees will be eligible for promotion to an assistant manager position.
