Guapo’s is indeed coming to the Spectrum at Reston Town Center, as previously reported by The Burn.

However, the new location will not be a cocina and bar — the company’s full-service Tex-Mex restaurant — or a Guapo’s Go, the quick-service, charcoal chicken-focused taqueria found in Herndon, Manassas and Woodbridge.

Fundraiser launched for woman killed in Ox Road motorcycle crash

The family of a woman killed last Thursday (July 23) in a motorcycle crash on Route 123 (Ox Road) are seeking financial assistance, as a police investigation into the incident continues.

Jennifer Hollingsworth, a 39-year-old resident of Fredericksburg, was heading north on a 2025 Suzuki GSXR 750 motorcycle on Ox Road when she crashed into a 2021 Buick Enclave SUV that was turning left from southbound Ox Road onto eastbound Chapel Road in Fairfax Station, the Fairfax County Police Department said in an update on Friday (July 24).

JUST IN: Man sentenced to prison for raping woman, hiding her body in Springfield woods

A man who pleaded guilty to raping a high school friend and then hiding her body in a wooded area of Springfield will spend the next seven decades in prison.

Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Jonathan Frieden sentenced Terence Bridgett Jr. today (Friday) to more than two life terms in prison today, suspending all but 70 years, Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano announced.

Track work on Metro’s Orange Line will reduce service in Fairfax this weekend

Head’s up to Fairfax County travelers: Metro rides into D.C. might take longer than usual this weekend due to planned track work.

Orange Line trains will single track between the Vienna and West Falls Church stations tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday (July 26), the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority announced earlier this week.

Hunter Mill District Commissioner John Carter announced Wednesday (July 22) that he is retiring, making that his last meeting after almost nine years on the body charged with making land use and development-related recommendations to the county’s Board of Supervisors.

UPDATED: Child riding e-scooter killed in Herndon-area crash

A child has died after he was struck by a minivan driver while riding an electric scooter in Herndon’s Highland Mews neighborhood just east of Dulles International Airport.

Units with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department were dispatched to the 3000 block of Madden Court near Food Lion at around 5:30 p.m. today (Thursday) for the crash, according to scanner traffic.

Bailey’s Crossroads pastor accused of sending explicit images to teen

The senior pastor at Crossroads Baptist Church in Bailey’s Crossroads was arrested this week in connection with allegations that he sent sexually explicit images to a teen for more than a year.

Kenneth Baldwin, a 46-year-old resident of Lincolnia, has been charged by Pennsylvania State Police with three counts of indecent exposure, six counts of open lewdness, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, and both felony and misdemeanor counts of corrupting minors, according to court documents.

Fairfax County Public Schools’ integration of technology into its operations will extend to its transportation system in the coming academic year.

New identification cards that can be used to track when students get on and off a school bus will be rolled out across the division when the 2026-2027 school year starts on Aug. 24, FCPS announced on Tuesday (July 21).

Owner seeks help to save Reston’s historic Wiehle House after storm damage

One of the oldest buildings in Reston is at risk of falling into disrepair after a tree on a neighboring property toppled on its roof during a storm that swept through the area on July 5.

Built in the 1890s, the two-story Robert Wiehle House has endured more than a century of fluctuating weather and suburban development, still standing at 1830 Old Reston Avenue even as condominiums and apartments sprouted up around it.
