Waltz over to Oakton Library for a family-friendly event featuring local writers and musicians!
Excellent for kids ages 4 to 10, this event offers a peek at three new picture books exploring the connection between music and emotion: “Music Plants Hope” by Tonnye Fletcher, “My Violin” by Jen Fier Jasinski, and “Tic-Errific Me!” by Alicia Meyers. All the authors will be on hand for a discussion and signing, and Bards Alley will have copies of their books available for purchase.
Attendees can also learn about the inner workings of instruments, practice relaxation techniques, and exercise their creativity through games and crafts. You’re sure to leave applauding and asking for an encore!
