Join the Bards Alley booksellers at Oakton Library for a presentation by local author Alyssa Colman! She will talk about her new middle-grade novel “Where Only Storms Grow” and lead attendees in an interactive, kid-friendly activity.
A moving story of familial resilience set during the 1930s Dust Bowl, the book is ideal for children ages 8 to 12 but has plenty to offer older readers as well. We especially encourage teachers, librarians, and parents to join us and learn about this vital era in American history.
Colman’s talk will be followed by a book signing. Bards Alley will have copies of “Where Only Storms Grow” available for sale on site, but attendees can reserve theirs in advance by calling (571) 459-2653.
