Join local author P. O’Connell Pearson at the City of Fairfax Regional Library for a discussion of her latest children’s history book, “No Ordinary Women: How Progressive Era Reformers Reshaped America”!
Recommended for ages 10 and up, the book chronicles efforts to fight against inequality, corruption, and exploitative labor conditions in the late 19th century. In particular, it shines a light on women who participated in the Progressive movement, whether on the frontlines or behind the scenes. A signing will follow Pearson’s talk with copies of “No Ordinary Women” available for purchase from Bards Alley.
This event is free to attend and does not require registration. Fairfax County Public Library has additional information on their website (see the link above).
