The Reston Museum is proud to present an exciting program featuring the talented students of the South Lakes High School STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Team. The STEAM Team is a testament to the power of education and creativity in shaping our public spaces and to the dedication and brilliance of our local students. At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the impressive students who are behind the annual public art installation on the Lake Thoreau spillway. Learn about the rigorous process they follow, which mirrors the work of professional artists, and the invaluable real-world experience they gain. Every year students dedicate their free time to creating the art installation that the Reston community enjoys, and they are eager to share their extensive planning, the challenges they overcome and the artistic talents they invest in each remarkable installation. Program takes place at SLHS on May 14th at 7:00PM.
