RCO’s Spring Concert brings together three ageless works for an unforgettable afternoon of music:
🎻🎹 Beethoven’s Triple Concerto featuring guest soloists Ralitza Patcheva (Piano), Vasily Popov (Cello), and RCO Music Director Dietrich Paredes (Violin). This concerto is an elegant conversation between three close friends – playful, noble, and quietly reflective at various moments – set against a glowing orchestral backdrop.
🎼 A world premiere by local composer Ron Planting, Legends Suite is a cinematic, evocative work that draws its power from the timeless tradition of storytelling.
🤵 A thrilling symphonic tribute to the music of James Bond movies, 007: Through the Years is a sleek, brassy, and dramatic montage of several iconic themes of the Bond cinema franchise.
Plus, we’re excited to welcome back the students from NoVa Youth Ensemble for our side-by-side performances!
Arrive early to enjoy a special pre-concert aperitif performance by the RCO Viola Quartet.
🥧After the concert, round out the Pi Day festivities with some pizza pies! Courtesy of Ledo Pizza.
