Celebrate Pride Month with the Bards Alley booksellers! We’re thrilled to join our friends at Mary Riley Styles Public Library in welcoming D.C. authors Susie Dumond and Chip Pons for a conversation about their new queer romance novels.
Dumond’s “Bed and Breakup” (out June 24) is a lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romp set in small-town Arkansas. Seven years after their separation, Molly and Robin return to the quaint mountain inn they once ran together, each determined to claim ownership over the property. As their quarrel reaches a stalemate, however, the couple find old memories and feelings resurfacing.
Pons’s debut “Winging It with You” (follows two men as they fake-date for an Amazing Race-inspired competition show. Heartbroken after being abruptly dumped by his partner in love and reality TV, Asher Bennett is indulging in a TGI Friday mozzarella sticks-and-mimosa combo when he meets Theo Fernandez, a pilot in need of a vacation. Can they leave their baggage behind and fly into the future together?
After their talk, both authors will stay for a signing. Their books will be available for purchase at the event; to reserve a copy in advance, call Bards Alley at (571) 459-2653. Registration is free through Mary Riley Styles here: https://www.mrspl.org/event/author-talkbards-alley-25211
