In addition to exploring the resources and information provided by 50 local health, wellness, and fitness exhibitors the public is invited to hear presentations from various experts – including a keynote by Award-Winning Author, Chef, and Mediterranean Lifestyle Ambassador Amy Riolo – who will talk on various aspects of helping individuals strengthen their overall health and wellness.

“The ‘Well Talk’ portion of our Get Healthy Vienna Expos has been warmly received and very popular. This year’s expo – ‘Wellness Wonderland’ – promises to be informative and enlightening, especially the slate of experts who will address important topics on reducing stress, a key driver of illness and chronic disease. The VBA is very excited to welcome Amy Riolo to the lineup whose knowledge and warm personality will help attendees learn strategies to adopt a healthy mentality around stress and ways to boost health,” said Karen Kerrigan, Chairman of Wellness Wonderland and VBA member.

Amy is the author of 22 books, including her new book that was released on September 29 Managing Cholesterol for Dummies. In addition to cookbooks such as Quick and Easy Mediterranean Recipes and Creating a Cookbook: How to Write, Publish and Promote Your Culinary Philosophy, Amy’s “for Dummies” books series is quite extensive with a focus on diabetes-friendly meals, desserts, and meal planning and nutrition.

As Amy notes about the wisdom she will share through her presentation on “Transforming Stress and Seeking Joy: A ‘Recipe’ for Renewal”:

“I love teaching others how to use the world’s healthiest diet to live better and longer. After living and working all over the Mediterranean region, I’ve witnessed firsthand how the Mediterranean lifestyle can transform lives.”

Amy’s presentation will begin at 12:00 Noon and she will also be available to sign books, answer questions and engage with expo attendees during the course of Wellness Wonderland, which runs from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Local Vienna-area experts will also share tips and advice on promoting health and wellness, navigating the holiday season and launching into the New Year with a healthy mindset. Other Well Talks include:
