Local Toys for Tots Fundraiser

By: PaperMoon Springfield

November 28, 2022

PaperMoon Springfield is offering a very tempting Christmas treat to good Samaritans. Since 1947, the goal of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots initiative has been to bring the joy of Christmas to less fortunate children. To help Toys for Tots fulfill its annual mission, philanthropic dancers from PaperMoon Springfield are hosting their annual holiday toy donation drive.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off 7 days a week, from 12 pm to 2:30 am, at the gentlemen’s club located at 6315 Amherst Ave, Springfield, VA 22150. The drive goes through December 11th, wrapping up with a black-tie party.

“We are honored to do our part for Toys for Tots. Without the generosity of the community, many children miss out on the magic of the holiday season. Picking up one extra toy during your holiday shopping can make a child’s holiday sparkle. Last year we raised a substantial amount of money and toys and this year we aim to double that number.” Charles Gower, General Manager, PaperMoon Springfield.

As an added bonus, now through December 11th, when you donate a new, unwrapped toy or make a donation of $20, you’ll receive free admission!

Toys for Tots, which collects new, unwrapped toys each holiday season and gives them as Christmas gifts to children in need, is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. It distributes toys to children who may not otherwise receive a gift for Christmas. Toys for Tots plays an active role in developing one of our nation’s most valuable resources: its children. It also unites members of local communities in a common cause each year during its annual toy collection and distribution campaign.

Since Toys for Tots’ inception, the Marines have distributed over 566 million toys to more than 258 million children across the United States. In 2021, the local Toys for Tots campaign in Quantico, VA distributed 146,148 toys to 145,284 children.

Outreach Efforts Extend Beyond Holidays

Toys for Tots joins other charities in PaperMoon’s latest community outreach efforts. In November 2022, PaperMoon held a food drive for New Hope Housing, which provides services to homeless families and single adults. The classy venue provides top-tier entertainment for a variety of residents in Northern Virginia as well as the District of Columbia. PaperMoon’s representatives pride themselves on creating luxurious, bespoke experiences while being responsible, upstanding members of the community they serve. The party on Saturday, December 11th, promises to be a night of fun, warmth, and holiday cheer.
