A seasonal staple for Reston families since 1973, Reston Association’s summer camps encompass general-interest day camps for kids from 4 to 11 as well as a variety of specialty programs, including sports and art camps, nature-oriented offerings, an adventure camp and even a counselor-in-training program for teens. Scholarships supported by the Friends of Reston are available.

2. Reston Community Center camps

From athletic programs and field trips to a five-week Young Actors Theatre and cooking, craft and STEM classes, families can choose from an assortment of full-day and half-day camps. Reston Community Center also added morning and after-camp child care options in 2026.

3. Fairfax County Park Authority camps

Demand is high every year for the Fairfax County Park Authority’s summer camps, which include general day camps, excursions and nature camps, sports, arts and crafts, equestrian lessons, STEM and some virtual, adult and adapted offerings.
