1. Wolf Trap National Park

The hilly terrain and roomy open spaces at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts present a number of attractive sledding options, including the meadow hill near the Filene Center. Cross-country skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing are also permitted on the park’s trails and grassy areas.
2. Mount Reston
1625 Wiehle Avenue, Reston
A long, spacious slope has turned this hill behind the Unitarian Universalist Church in Reston into a go-to sledding spot for local residents, who can get a workout from the treks back up while still having fun.
3. King Kong Hill
1711 Clubhouse Road, Reston
Reston residents are also known to hit the golf course at Hidden Creek Country Club for some sledding action. A steep hill on the course between North Shore Drive and Isaac Newton Square offers a zippy descent and a touch of scenery, courtesy of the nearby Colvin Run stream.
